It was a great weekend at the Crosman All American Field Target Championships at the Rochester Brooks Gun Club in New York. Seven OAFTSA members made the trip up to the match including Roger Barker, Kristen Coss, Ted Andro, Rick Smelko, Bill Rabbitt, Jeff Paddock and Tyler Patner. While we don't have everyone's final scores yet, here are the highlights from the weekend:
Bill Rabbitt turned in a stellar 59/60 on day two in the woods course to take the Hunter PCP title. And on his birthday! Bill also took 2nd place in Limited Pistol with a great 56/60 to tie Tyler for the overall high pistol score. Bill wasn't done there though, he also took home the Pyramyd Gunslynger competition PCP crown and earned himself a $200 PA gift card! Way to go Bill!
Jeff Paddock shot an impressive 56/60 on day one in the woods to tie with Team USA shooter Matt Brackett for the lead in WFTF piston. On day two, Jeff tightened the screws with a stellar 51/60 in a windy field course to secure the WFTF Piston crown. Phenomenal shooting Jeff!
Tyler Patner turned in a perfect 60/60 to tie reigning US National Champ Greg Sauve on day one in the woods. On day two, he wasn't quite up to the challenge and fell to Sauve by three shots, but still secured second place in WFTF PCP. Tyler also shot a 56/60 in limited pistol, forcing a shoot off with Bill. After a tough offhand target to decide the winner, Tyler came out on top. That's the top two spots in Limited Pistol going to OAFTSA members! Tyler's combined scores from rifle and pistol were good enough to win the All Around award as well.
Well done to all of the OAFTSA shooters and congrats to the winners! We look forward to seeing everyone on August 6th for our next monthly match.
